Terms of Service

These terms govern the Kathwool website and purchases from Kathwool. “Kathwool,” “we,” and “us” refer to StarSpace International LIMITED, trading as Kathwool. By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked below, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

1. What we sell

Our main products are downloadable crochet patterns. A product labeled “Digital Download” or “PDF Pattern” supplies the electronic files described on its product page. It does not include a finished blanket, curtain, flower, yarn, hook, kit, or other physical goods unless expressly stated. Files, techniques, page counts, languages, and skill requirements can differ by pattern; please review the individual listing before purchase. Product photographs may show an example of a finished project or styling, not an item supplied with the digital purchase.

Some physical products may remain available during our transition. Those listings expressly describe the physical item. Prices and availability may change, but the price and terms presented at checkout govern the submitted order. We may correct an obvious listing error and, if we cannot fulfill an accepted paid order, provide an appropriate refund.

2. Orders, payment, and delivery

Provide an accurate email address and payment information. You are responsible for access to the email account used at checkout. A digital purchase is delivered electronically after payment through our digital delivery service; see our Delivery & Shipping Policy for download help. Physical items, if offered, follow the shipping terms shown at checkout and in that policy.

Prices are generally displayed in USD unless checkout states otherwise. Applicable taxes and, for physical goods only, any shipping charges are displayed at checkout. Digital-only orders have no physical shipping charge. We may decline or cancel an order for a payment failure, suspected fraud, unavailable product, or a material pricing error; any collected payment for a cancelled order will be refunded.

3. Pattern license

Kathwool and its licensors retain copyright and other intellectual-property rights in the PDF patterns, charts, written instructions, photographs, videos, and other content. A purchase grants the buyer a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the purchased pattern for personal crafting. You may print working copies for your own use. Do not share, upload, copy for others, translate and redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publish the file or its charts or instructions, including in altered form.

An independent maker may sell a small number of finished physical items that they personally make from a Kathwool pattern if the listing credits “Pattern by Kathwool.” This permission does not permit factory or mass production, print-on-demand production, use of the pattern by employees or contractors, or resale of pattern files or kits containing our instructions without written permission. Contact us for a broader commercial license.

4. Refunds and consumer rights

Digital files cannot be physically returned. Cancellation and refund eligibility for digital content, and return rules for physical products, are set out in our Return & Refund Policy. A faulty, inaccessible, incomplete, or incorrectly supplied file should be reported to support@kathwool.com so we can help. Nothing in these terms or policies limits mandatory consumer rights.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

You must be legally able to make a purchase, or have appropriate parent or guardian consent. Keep any account credentials and download links secure. Do not use the website or its content unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, transmit malware, or infringe another person's rights. We may restrict access for serious misuse where lawful.

6. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling. Shopify provides the store and checkout platform; a digital delivery service supplies download access. Other third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices. A purchase from Kathwool is a transaction with StarSpace International LIMITED, not Shopify.

7. Site information and availability

We work to describe products accurately, but device displays, printing, yarn choice, tension, and gauge affect how a finished project looks and measures. Unless a product page promises a fixed size or included material, project dimensions and material quantities depend on your choices and gauge. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted website or download-service availability, but we will assist with a valid purchase if access fails.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from use of the site or a pattern. This does not limit liability, warranties, refunds, or other remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Reviews and other content you submit

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, or suggestion, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe another person's rights or mislead other customers. You allow Kathwool to display, reproduce, and use that content to operate and promote the store, without transferring ownership of your content. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringing.

9. General terms

If a provision of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it. These terms and the linked policies form the agreement for use of the store, except for any separate written agreement that expressly applies.

10. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms for future use and will post the current version with its effective date. The terms applicable to an order are those provided when that order was placed, except where law requires otherwise. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your location.
