CHOOSE ONE WORKING METHOD
Each CUT or NO-CUT section is a complete alternative. Choose one section for the whole blanket. Use the chart, written rows and measuring swatch for the same technique.
YARN, GAUGE AND FINISHED SIZE
The 12-page Tips & Yarn Estimation guide includes separate Mosaic and four-color Tapestry measuring panels, step-by-step calculations, separate color quantities, CUT tail allowances, a cream-border allowance, a 10% reserve, and simple and envelope border instructions.
The offline calculator accepts each color's panel weight, meterage and ball size, plus measured gauge and border preferences.
For illustration, if your 20-stitch x 20-row measured panel is 10 x 10 cm:
- Mosaic body: approximately 122 x 171 cm (48.0 x 67.3 in).
- Tapestry body: approximately 122 x 170 cm (48.0 x 66.9 in).
These dimensions include the side stitches and exclude an outside border. Add twice your chosen border width to each dimension.
YARN CALCULATION EXAMPLES
The quantities below are calculated examples using the specified panel weights. Use your own measurements for purchasing. They are not fixed requirements for any particular yarn brand or thickness.
Example yarn labels: 300 m / 100 g, in 100 g balls. Allow 12% of combined body grams for a border in A and 10% extra reserve. CUT includes 15 cm tails at each row end.
