CHRISTMAS MOUSE MAIL
Large-Format Crochet Pattern | Overlay Mosaic & Tapestry
A little mouse wrapped in a striped scarf and a pom-pom hat delivers letters to a snow-covered Christmas postbox. Snowflakes, evergreen branches, berries and a festive bow surround the scene. Warm cream against Christmas red brings out the detailed two-color artwork.
This digital pattern package includes Overlay Mosaic Crochet and Tapestry Crochet. Both feature the Christmas Mouse Mail scene, with technique-specific stitch details. Choose your crochet technique and follow its matching chart and written instructions.

APPROXIMATE YARN REQUIREMENTS
The figures below are approximate yarn-planning ranges calculated from the chart stitch counts and the stitch-length assumptions listed in the guide. Actual yarn use varies with yarn choice, hook size, tension and finishing method.
Each range includes a 10% extra-yarn allowance and a further +/-20% variation for stitch length. Figures are based on the CUT method and 15 cm tails at each row end. Color B includes an estimated envelope border with about three double-crochet rounds per flap, a surface foundation and a joining round. Color A has no additional finishing-border allowance.
The separate NO-CUT estimates are included in Yarn-Estimates.csv. Carrying yarn, gauge, yarn density, border depth and working style affect consumption. Use a measured swatch and your actual yarn label to confirm the purchase quantity. Skein counts below are rounded UP from the upper meter estimate for each color separately.

FINISHED SIZE
This is a large-format design. Table dimensions refer to the main chart only. Four side-edge stitches add width; the outer finishing border adds width and height. The snow and winter motifs are already included in the chart.
For a measured 20 x 20 chart area of w cm x h cm:
- Main width = w / 20 x 335.
- Tapestry main height = h / 20 x 521.
- Mosaic main height = h / 20 x 521.
- Body width including side edges = w / 20 x 339.
- Add twice the actual border width to each relevant finished dimension.
For an approximately 150 x 225 cm main chart, the 335 x 521 grid would need about 22.3 stitches and 23.2 rows per 10 cm. Match both stitch and row gauge to achieve those dimensions. Plan the fabric size before purchasing yarn.
